BIMAS description

The Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System (BIMAS™) is a measure of social, emotional and behavioral functioning of children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 years. The BIMAS Standard Form includes 34 change-sensitive items that can be used for universal screening as well as for progress monitoring of interventions. The BIMAS is the only commercially available measure comprised of items developed based on years of research and a scientific model for selecting items that are sensitive to change (Meier, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2004).  An additional key feature of the BIMAS is its flexibility to customize progress monitoring plans for groups and individual interventions and generate multiple dynamic (on demand) type of reports that include graphical as well as statistical representation of data.  Information for the BIMAS is gathered by multiple sources, parents, teachers and children themselves.

Training Materials for the BIMAS

The following YouTube videos and links offer an introduction and some brief demonstrations on how to use the BIMAS interface, enter data, create assessments and generate various administrative and progress monitoring reports. The list of videos does not represent a complete list of all BIMAS features or reports that can be generated. Updates and additional video clips will continue to be added on this site. If you wish to be included in a listserv and receive notification of new training materials, research studies, uses of the BIMAS in various settings, scenarios etc., please send me an e-mail and request to be included in an e-mail distribution list.
